Responsibilities: L2 support for Windows. Handling escalated issues. Well developed, advanced knowledge and skills in providing technical infrastructure services such as installation, configuration, administration, maintenance etc. He works independently to handle basic general technical expertise and to provide administrative support to the infrastructure support engineers. Key Activities / Essential Skills: 1. Day-to-day administration of windows environment 2. Routine day to day activities/proactive maintenance on servers 3. technical infrastructure services such as installation, configuration, administration. 4. Trouble Tickets, Problem Resolution, Log Status Reports, System Upgrades/Implementations/Documentation 5. All L1 activities if required 6. Ensure adherence to CSC Core Processes, ethics and security policies 7. Participation in Quality initiatives Essential Knowledge: 1. Good knowledge on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 & Windows 2003 including Active Directory 2. Good knowledge on WINS, DNS & DHCP administration, configuration, troubleshooting & implementation. 3. Good knowledge about backup/restores & the software available 4. Should have worked with OEM hardware (IBM/HP), & remote connectivity tools 5. Should have familiarization to patching tools such as Hfnetchkpro, SUS etc 6. Have worked with different antivirus products 7. Should be aware of RAID concepts and disk management tools 8.
