Job Description:
The primary function of support consultants is to provide in-depth technical and technological expertise in their particular areas of focus, so that we can develop a genuinely customized solution for every customer. Initially support consultants provide services to a limited number of small accounts to which they're personally assigned, but support becomes more and more specific as you move through the experience levels, right up to the highly complex design, scoping and implementation leadership of international and strategic accounts, working at highest level with customers and managing large projects.
Required Skills
1. Good Troubleshooting skills /Software related queries of our global clients either through Phone, Email and remote sessions
2. Documentation of the case and functional writing skills required.
3. Utilizes professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience.
4. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.
5. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts.
6. Willingness to participate in non-standard working-time models (e.g. shift, call availability etc...)
7. Clear communication skills and Ability to work independently.
8. Confident telephone manner and Fluency in English.
9. Must possess excellent written & spoken communication skills.
10. MCSA/MCSE/MCTS/MCITP/VCP Desired
Key Technical Skills
1. Good Knowledge in installing and configuring all flavors of ESX/ ESXi
2. Good understanding in VMware Virtualization technology like Memory ballooning, resource allocation and Snapshots
3. Trouble shooting knowledge on ESX performance and vCenter performance
4 Good knowledge on VDP interaction with the back up applications
5. Good understanding of Operation of HA and DRS clusters
6. Basic understanding of either SRM/View/VCD suite
7. Familiar with HP hardware Blades and Proliant servers
8. Familiar with storage/backup technologies including: HP SAN/NetApp
9. Preferred VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferably for vSphere 5.x
