100's of 1000's of 2008 sp2 servers suffer with this issue for years now. Still nothing from MS!!!

I spoke to MS support guy today (1:35 AM 4/7/2015) and he told that there was no other way to cleanup winsxs folder in 2008 standard sp2 EDITION
with the help of "windirstat" tool i found that - c:\windows\wisxs\mainfestcache\** occupied 2gig of data and cleared that by the below method
